I’m shook!

My day started with an earthquake! It was quite unnerving to feel an ancient building rumble and sway. (And by ancient, I mean built in the 1300s) All is well, and I recovered from the shock.

Just a few hours later, I experienced something else just as shocking.

Yesterday, I was reflecting on the past week and thinking about what I liked about being alone and what I’ve missed.  I was sort of chatting with God in prayer as I processed. It occurred that I haven’t had any physical contact with a person in a week since Scott returned home. As a “hugger,” I’ve missed that.  I’ve been talking to people, but obviously not walking up to strangers and asking for a hug.

Today I randomly bumped into a friend from home.  I had ventured to a new part of town I hadn’t yet explored. She was on a tour and had an hour to explore.  And that’s when we ran into each other.  As our paths crossed, we of course gave each other a huge hug.

I walked away with a smile and felt seen and heard by God.
